Profectus are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our client in Hull who you will be responsible for the technical aspects, product manufacturing, and leadership of our design and technical office. You’ll lead a team of seasoned professionals dedicated to delivering top-notch technical project solutions. Your primary focus will be overseeing new product development projects and driving manufacturing processes to enhance production efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage department resources to provide full support to the R&D team and meet manufacturing process requirements.
• Guide projects from inception to completion, emphasizing technical excellence and efficient resource utilization in alignment with company business plans.
• Direct and coordinate departmental activities, fostering relationships with corporate and group sectors, as well as external parties.
• Organize department staffing to align with engineering program scopes and ensure adequate resources.
• Provide support across all manufacturing facets, including process design, assembly, and testing, with a focus on problem-solving and maximizing efficiency.
• Conduct root cause analysis of non-conformities, collaborating with other functions and external parties when necessary.
• Establish and maintain the engineering organizational structure in line with company strategy.
• Ensure systems, plants, and products conform to reference standards and certifications.
• Undertake additional duties related to the management of engineering and R&D activities, as assigned by the Strategy & Innovation team.
• Exercise management powers in compliance with received directives, approved strategies, and corporate policies and procedures in the production, quality, and HSE department.
