The Role:
Profectus are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join a national market leading client on a fully onsite basis in Southend. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of technical challenges, collaborate across teams, and contribute to maintaining and improving IT services.
Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with remote users and sites to enhance the overall IT experience.
- Oversee and maintain IT assets, ensuring compliance with all standards.
- Perform essential support tasks, including password resets, user account management, and software installations.
- Facilitate IT onboarding for new starters, including equipment setup and induction training.
- Regularly update and maintain onboarding documentation and build checklists.
- Assist with local network management and escalate network issues as needed.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience of 1st / 2nd Line Support
- A solid understanding of Windows (Ideally some MAC OS experience too), with experience in Active Directory and Office 365.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with users at all levels.
- Full Driving Licence as role includes occasional travel further afield.
