Profectus Recruitment is partnered with a global software company who is recruiting for a new UK Support and Services Manager to join their senior team on a permanent basis.

The objective of the role is to provide Industry leading levels of technical support and services to Software customers through professional management of the support and services teams, as well as building strong relationships with all departments that interface with support and services, with an emphasis on sales & revenue growth

Responsibilities and skills required:

  • Support and services
  • Training and services administration
  • Pre-sales
  • Work closely with the UK Sales Manager to help deliver and achieve agreed objectives and targets
  • Manage and lead the support managers in an effective and efficient manner:  Setting a positive example as a manager and mentoring team members with a view of improving their own skills and knowledge
  • Actively work with the Sales Teams to break down barriers and build excellent working relationships
  • Identify potential sales opportunities and optimise service delivery and deliver maximum service revenue
  • Take active participation in the product roadmaps
  • Promote best practice in all aspects of the business and address conflict and issues where these arise within the business
  • Develop and motivate staff to maximise their contribution to the business and provide stretching achievable targets for individuals aligned to business goals
  • Regularly assess the performance of the support and services team managers
  • Report on the activities of the support and services team in a common and agreed manner
  • Deliver support and services that meet the company’s high standards of quality and professionalism
  • Assist the Operations team with the following within the support and services team;
  • To develop and implement agreed working standards and procedures
  • To actively promote a culture of continual improvement to increase productivity and efficiency
  • In preparation for project ‘Geneva’, increase integration of teams currently vertically organised by product
  • Ensure effective and appropriate communication throughout the organisation
  • Carry out additional agreed horizontal responsibilities that address key activities across multiple products
  • Ensure that management controls, procedures and processes are structured to safeguard the business assets 

Person Specification:

  • Excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills with an ability to collaborate and work well with others
  • Proven management experience with exceptional organisation and planning skills
  • Solid financial understanding & commercially astute
  • A background of delivering consistent results in a dynamic and changing sales driven environment
  • Highly proficient in all areas of Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office applications

The role does require you to split your time between home and a couple of offices with an hour’s drive of Reading where the different support teams are based. A company car would be provided for you to travel to and from the offices when required.
