The role

 The Systems Assistant is a key role within a busy Support Team which answers emails and telephone enquiries or issue/problems from customers. The role involves proactively supporting the business on a day to day basis and also contributing to the future success and strategy of the business. The person will also build/configure systems that support them. The role will report into the Business Development Director and will also support other Senior Managers on projects within the business. The person must work closely with other departments, such as the Development Team, to help achieve business objectives. This person will also deputise for the Business Development Director when he/she is not present.

 

Client Solution Configuration

  • Join managers at design meetings
  • Design and document the processes

  • Ensure solutions are tested

 

Client Data Manipulation

  • Carry out Data Manipulation
  • Carry out Data Cleaning and Mapping
  • Carry out Data Import

 

Client Support (Phone/email)

  • Log support calls
  • Resolve customer login issues
  • Support customer processes
  • Support custom solutions
  • Onsite support (Occasional)
  • Update/create knowledge base
  • Create and publish documentation on word press and paper
  • Providing client training where appropriate

 

Client Adoption of Products and Systems

  • Customer Training (face to face and telephone training
  • Write user guides
  • Producing Usage Reports

 

Required Skills

  • 3 Years’ experience in a similar role within a support team
  • 3 years’ relevant experience directly related to the responsibilities of this role
  • Appropriate degree or HND in IT or business-related subject
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent phone manner
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills; good interpersonal skills

 

Optional Skills

  • Experience of using SQL
