An innovative technology business developing safety and assurance solutions for next-generation autonomous systems is expanding its engineering team and is looking for a Safety-Critical Software Engineer.

You’ll develop embedded and real-time software supporting autonomous aviation, defence and other mission-critical applications.

The Role

• Develop safety-critical embedded and real-time software.
• Design software supporting runtime assurance, safety monitoring and fail-safe functions.
• Contribute to autonomous flight and mission-critical systems.
• Support verification, validation and certification activities.
• Produce software documentation and certification evidence.
• Work within structured safety-critical development processes.
• Collaborate with systems, verification and safety engineers.

About You

We’re looking for a strong embedded software engineer with experience developing safety-critical or real-time systems. You’ll need to be technically curious and confident discussing your engineering decisions, processes and approach to solving complex problems.

You’ll have experience with:

• Embedded software development.
• Real-time systems and software lifecycles.
• Safety-critical development processes.
• Requirements and traceability.
• Verification and validation.
• Working within a regulated engineering environment.

Security: Candidates must be eligible to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance.
