Profectus Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a leading financial technology company with a global presence who are currently seeking a number highly skilled Principal Software Engineers to join their team as they expand into the UK.
As one of the world’s largest online brokers, this company has over 1000 employees and offices worldwide. They are now expanding their reach to the UK and require experienced Principal Software Engineers to work as part of their senior leadership team in their Reading office. The successful candidate will play a vital role in driving the engineering team forward and ensuring the company’s goals are achieved in the UK. This role involves developing and maintaining over 200 products and servers, using a tech stack that includes C++, Perl, Node, and AWS.
Key Responsibilities: This role requires you to perform duties in four key areas: Build, Mentor, Analyse, and Document. This includes adding new features, supporting platform growth, mentoring other developers, and converting business requirements into technical and data-driven insights.
Skills Required:
- A minimum of 10 years of software development experience.
- Node experience
- Experience with either C++, Python, Perl, or PHP
- Familiarity with front-end technologies, such as React or Angular. Desirable:
- Previous management/mentorship experience.
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and databases such as PostgreSQL.
